How to Choose the Right Airless Sprayer Tip?

The Right Spray Tip for Airless Efficient Spraying!

When it comes to painting projects, whether it's a homeowner's or a professional job, using a paint sprayer can save a lot of time and effort. And the tip you select can greatly impact the quality of the finish and the efficiency of the painting process.

There are numerous spray tip models available. The three-digit number in a spray tip model indicates the spray pattern width, with the first digit representing half the pattern width, and the last two digits representing the orifice size. For example, the RP TIPS 517 spray tip delivers a spray pattern of approximately 10 inches with an orifice size of 0.017 inches.

Choosing the Right Spray Tip for Different Applications

  • Interior Walls & Ceilings For large, flat areas like interior walls and ceilings where wide coverage is key to efficiency, latex paint requires a larger orifice for smooth flow. Recommended: RP TIPS 515, RP TIPS 517
  • Wood Doors, Cabinets & Furniture Wood surfaces demand a smooth, even finish. A narrower spray pattern offers better control around edges, while a smaller orifice ensures finer atomization to prevent runs and sags. Recommended: RP TIPS 211, RP TIPS 311, RP TIPS 313
  •  Exterior Walls, Fences & Roofs Outdoor applications prioritize speed. A wider pattern increases productivity, and thicker exterior coatings require a larger orifice to maintain adequate flow. Recommended: RP TIPS 515, RP TIPS 517, RP TIPS 621
  • Trim, Windows, Doors & Grilles Confined areas call for precision to minimize overspray and waste. A smaller orifice reduces flow for detailed work. Recommended: RP TIPS 211, RP TIPS 313
To accommodate a wide variety of spray tip models, you need a sprayer that delivers sufficient flow rate and stable pressure. The ⚡Rongpeng R550⚡ offers an output flow rate of 2.7 L/min, making it compatible with spray tips ranging from 311 to 527. With a 2500W motor and a maximum working pressure of 3300 psi, it ensures uniform atomization for a high-quality finish. Suitable for a wide range of applications, whether fine finishing or large-area spraying, it meets all needs with ease.
